Music at The Hendreds
Music is a unique way of communicating and a vehicle for personal expression that can inspire and motivate. The Hendreds is a singing school. We sing together to help us worship, reflect, celebrate and bring us joy. Music helps the body and the mind work together, strengthens memory skills and gives an opportunity for mindfulness. It is an important part of our school life, which supports children’s wellbeing and reinforces each child’s part in our school community. In developing the skills to critically appreciate a wide variety of musical forms, children appreciate the role of music in our culture and in other global communities. At the Hendreds, every child is provided with opportunities to work with professional musicians and is encouraged to create, play, perform and enjoy music throughout their school career.
